With the winter time schedule change, We would like to inform that the practice lessons by Francisco Hernández our Club Pro, will start on Tuesday and Thursday as from 16:00 hrs. until 18:00 hrs. as from March 27th until October 30th
Members may wish to ask for advice from Francisco Hernandez on their game.
We remind Members that these lessons are held collectively and free of charge.
The Guadalmina team beat Sotogrande in a very close match on the 12th and 19th of March. Guadalmina was defeated 2,5 : 3,5 at Sotogrande but managed to win at home 4 : 2. The total result was then 6,5 : 5,5. The Sotogrande team consisted this year of many strong players, among others the three times Spanish seniors champion Miguel Preysler.
The Guadalmina team consisted of Kristian Bergland,Olaf Eie (captain), Pedro Irujo, Javier Perez de Leza, Herlov Langgard, Stig Durlow, Antonio Guerrero, Salvador Tamayo, Sten Olsson, Lennart Wiberg, Felicisimo Perez, Lars Torp, Juan Rueda, Joe Llewellyn, Paco Urbano, Tomas Strandberg.

Ángel Ibañez won the Master Senior at Guaalmina,a two days event at the South Course with 166 shots for a 146 net score, four strokes ahead of the runner-up Leonardo Pardo.
The rain previous to the competition suggested the possibility of suspending the first day, but thank to the ground staff the Competition Committee decided to go ahead, the course was in very difficoult conditions but all players congratulated R.C.G. Guadalmina for its effort.
Ángel has taken a good step forward to qualify for the National Team, representing Spain in the European Master Senior Champioship
A good result in Madrid will give Ángel suficient points.

Our youngest players did very well at MAGNA MARBELLA in the Andalusian PEQUECIRCUITO.
Pablo Hidalgo Portillo finished first in the "Special Category" and Mateo Ruiz Pavón was the Runner up in the same category.

Our Juniors played at Hacienda Riquel ( Murcia ) the Qualifiying National Competition.
Despite the bad weather conditions our junior had a good results , special mention to Andrés Tamayo runner up in his category under 14 years of age.

In the picture we see a smiling Azahara, together with our President, D. Antonio Guerrero once received the title of Honorary Member of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.
Many members and friends joined Azahara’s relatives during the event, which was attended by the Mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, and the Mayor of San Pedro Alcántara D. Miguel Troyano, who directed some emotive words due to his proximity to Azahara and her family, whom he recognized did know for many years, as member of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.
The President of the Real Federación Andaluza de Golf, D. Angel de la Riva, wanted to join since the distance to the event, sending a letter that was handed by D. Manuel Garvayo, along with a bouquet of flowers.
Azahara thanked the recognition emotionally, to her parents, Members of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, staff, teachers ... thanks to them that they were supporting not only when accompanied by success but also in those moments were not as good.
We are confident that from this day Azahara feels that Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, even more so, is "Her Home" like it has been and always will be.
The prestigious annual mens interclub competition (4BBB) between Las Brisas and Guadalmina was played 4th and 9th of February. For the 2nd year in a row Guadalmina won. This years result was 9 : 7, winning 5 : 3 home and halving 4 : 4
away. It was the 17th time the match was played, starting up in 1991.The Guadalmina team consisted of Kristian Bergland, Paco Bernal, Håkan Birke, Stig Durlow, Olaf Eie, Paco Guerrero, Antonio Guerrero, Miguel Gutierrez, Paul Heaton, Herlov Langgard, Fermin Lopez, Mats Liss-Daniels, John Marry, John Mitchell, Dan Morn, Ken Weights, Lennart Wiberg.

This coming Friday 11th February, at 18:00 a cocktail will be held in the Cafeteria of the RCGG club house in honour of Azahara Muñoz. who will receive from the President and Board Members the title of Honourary Member of the "Real Club de Golf Guadalmina".
By bestowing upon Azahara this title, the Club is recognising her career as an amatuer as well as her recent achievements as a professional. At the same time the club would like to congratulate her on her conduct and achievements both on and off the golf courses.
Azahara is without doubt an excellent example for our Junior section and a person whom the Guadalmina members can be very proud of.
Past weekend, Pablo Hidalgo won the first prize "Benjamin category" at Monteparaiso Golf Club, Mateo Ruiz did also very well ,finishing third.
