What to do in case of an accident

Dear Members:

In case of an accident while you are playing golf you must notify inmediatelly to the Club Administation Office, an insucrance policy covers all players with an Spanish Golf Federation Licence, but you must notified the accident within the following 72 hours after the accident otherwise damages will not be covered.

At the back of the license card you can find the telephone number of REALE insurances 902 876 627

You must follow REALE indications, specially about  the reccomended  Medical Center for the first treatment.

STAFF GOLF TOURNAMENT

 

Dear Members
As it has been a tradition next Friday , December 16th , Real Club de Golf Guadalmina Staff will celebrate the ANNUAL “CLUB STAFF” GOLF TOURNAMENT “ Open del Currante”
 
On that date all employees will participate in a Competition under the Sramble format, on the Pitch & Putt Course, each team will be formed by three player , “ The Good “ , “The Bad “ and “The Incredible” , referred to their golfing skills
 
In order to arrange this tournament we appreciate your collaboration in such a Special day, we kindly inform Members that as form 13:00 hrs. until dark, ALL CLUB STAFF will be participating in the tournament, this includes , Maintenance Staff, Club storage, Caddy Master, Administration, Locker room, Driving Range, Starters and rangers.
 
We apologize for the inconveniences that this event might cause, the following day at 07:45 am. We will be again ready to serve you. Your Club staff wishes you a Merry Christmas and Happy 2012.

RCG Guadalmina wins against Mijas

After having lost 10 : 6 against Sta Maria in the beginning of November, Guadalmina came back strongly with a 10 : 2 win against Mijas  on the 18th and 22 of November.

On the Guadalmina teams were playing Olaf Eie (capt.), Dan Morn, Peter Cullen, Jose Duarte, Pedro Irujo, Javier Perez de Leza, Claes Forsgaardh, Joe Llewellyn, Lennart Wiberg, Thomas Strandberg, Sten Olsson, John Mitchell, Kristian Bergland, Paco Guerrero, Per Zachrisson, Paco Canales, Stig Durlow, Mats Liss-Daniels, Lars Sahlin, Juan Rueda, Hans Kaiser.
 
The picture shows Peter Lawrence ( Mijas Captain) and Tom Amman on the first tee at Los Olivos together with Olaf Eie and Dan Morn from Guadalmina.
 
Over the year 47 different players from 9 nations have represented Guadalmina.
 
The Mijas match conludes the 2011 season with 8 wins and 3 losses ( Aloha, La Quinta and Sta Maria) . We have beaten Las Brisas, San Roque, Sotogrande, El Parador, Los Arqueros, El Paraiso, Atalaya and finally Mijas.
 
Over the more than 20 years the Mens Interclub (4BBB, matchplay) has been played, Real Club de Guadalmina has more wins than losses against 10 of the 11 clubs we presently are playing and consequently by many clubs considered the toughest opponent on the coast to beat.

Members Discount in the Restaurant

Dear Members:

It is our pleasure to inform you that as from today the catering Service at Real Club de Golf Guadalmina offers to all Members 15% DISCOUNT in the " A LA CARTE" menu.

 

This discount is not applicable to drinks, " Daily Menu" , the Snak Menu, or set up menus for special ocassions.

 

The Restaurant Staff, if necessary, may required from Members to present the Club Card.

New date for the School Monthly Competition

We would like to inform Junior Members that the date for the Novemeber School Competition has been changed, from the 26 th to the 20th, by this Junior Members interested in participating in the CAMPO NORTE Y SUR Tournament will ahve the possibility to play.

We remind you that the School Competition will be celebrated on the Pitch & Putt Course.

Nina Digsmed / Francisco Hernández

Francisco Hernandez Responsible of the Junior School

Dear Members:
By agreement of the Board, dated October 10 it was decided that Francisco Hernandez Núñez will be responsible for the  Management of the Junior School of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, with the assistance of Ms. Nina Digsmed as a Junior Delegate of the Competition Committee.


On the other side from the Board would like to thank D. Castor Gomez for the work to be performed during the time he has held this position.

 

Starting next weekend, lessons to students in the School will be shared between D. Francisco Hernández Núñez and his son Fran, who will be mainly dedicated to teach children without national handicap.
 

In the future, Nina Francisco Hernández Núñez Digsmed, in collaboration with the Administration staff will coordinate both the tournaments to be held in the Club, and the Tournament where players may represent the  Real Club de Golf Guadalmina in  both Spanish and Andalusian Federations calendar.

 

Francisco and Nina will be responsible to elaborate next year calendar in agreement wtih the Competition Committee.

 

From these lines we we wish the best for Francisco, and we expect that the good results of the past will be maintained, at the same time The Board of Director would like to thank Castor Gómez for all the time he has dedicated and his good work carried out.
