The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina hosted the II Croquet Social Tournament at its facilities on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 1st April, bringing together 24 participants over two days defined by excellent play, a wonderful atmosphere and outstanding organisation.
Played under particularly favourable weather conditions, the tournament provided the ideal setting to enjoy a discipline that continues to consolidate its place within the Club’s sporting and social life.
The pair formed by Beatriz Santos-Suárez and Julio Heredia claimed victory, defeating Cristina Rumeu and Mick Jordan, who also delivered an excellent performance throughout the competition.
Beyond the results, the event once again highlighted croquet as a natural meeting point for Members, reinforcing the sense of community that defines Guadalmina and contributes to its long-term vitality.

Further information on national competitions
In this context, the development of croquet within the Club integrates naturally with the growth of the discipline at a national level, where competitions such as the X Spanish Croquet Cup (José Luis Álvarez-Sala Trophy) stand as the leading interclub event in the calendar.
The upcoming edition will take place on 1st, 2nd and 3rd May, featuring a tier-based structure and team match format, illustrating the increasing level of organisation and competition within Spanish croquet.
