It is with great pleasure that we share the excellent evaluation received following the Tier 4C Croquet event held at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.
The championship was rated outstanding by participants, who praised the organisation, the excellent condition of the facilities and, in particular, the care and dedication of our Member and Handicapper, Marian Velasco: “Excellent, Marian, the Club’s hostess. Everything was easy and pleasant.” The only point noted for improvement was the catering service, which in turn underlines the overall success of the event and the strength of the sporting project.
Our croquet court, inaugurated in 2022 and certified by the Spanish Croquet Federation with a score of 82.5 out of 100(very good), is firmly established as a national benchmark in this captivating sport.
It is also the first court in Spain built with Bermuda Ultra-dwarf “Sunday”, a variety renowned for its resilience and playing quality, setting a new standard compared with traditional creeping bentgrass surfaces. In addition, its location next to the clubhouse café enhances its social character and suitability for organizing tournaments.
At Guadalmina, every step we take enriches our shared story. Croquet is now part of that legacy, alongside golf and so many traditions that define us. What truly makes our Club special is not only the quality of its facilities, but the shared sense of belonging to a unique community, united by excellence and the enjoyment of sport.
